Hand Pump Training
This one-week course provides learners with actual hand pump experience to include the India Mark II hand pump, the Afridev hand pump, and the Nicaraguan Rope Pump. These pumping systems will be evaluated based on their limitations, disassembled and then reassembled. This course is offered at our home office in the United States as well as various international locations as requested by our clients.
Students will first learn how these pumps work and later will be introduced to malfunctioning pumps to understand troubleshooting and repair methods. We provide an intensive learning environment for hand pump installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and operation. Our hand pump systems course is designed for missionary and humanitarian personnel traveling abroad, land owners who would like a reliable water source that does not require electricity, or anyone interested in learning how hand pumps are installed and operate. Our interactive, live instruction format and small class sizes are ideally suited to hand pump systems training because it allows our instructors to address specific pump maintenance issues that students are facing.
The Hand Pump Training course is an excellent addition to our Drilling Training course because the cost to repair existing water well pumps is usually a fraction of the cost of drilling a new water well. Missionary workers who complete this course will be prepared to meet the needs for safe water access around the world. |
